General Rules:

  1. Fair Play: All players are expected to adhere to the principles of sportsmanship and fair play at all times. Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.

  2. Equipment: Players must wear appropriate basketball attire and footwear during games. Any equipment deemed unsafe or inappropriate by tournament officials will not be permitted.

  3. Officials' Decisions: All decisions made by tournament officials are final. Players and spectators must respect and abide by the rulings of the officials.

  4. Player Eligibility: Only registered players are eligible to participate in the tournaments. Any player found to be ineligible or in violation of tournament rules will be disqualified.

  5. Player Conduct: Players are responsible for their conduct on and off the court. Any behavior that brings the tournament or the sport into disrepute will result in disciplinary action.

  6. Safety: The safety of players, officials, and spectators is paramount. Any behavior or actions that jeopardize safety will not be tolerated.

  7. Scheduling: Players must adhere to the tournament schedule and arrive on time for their matches. Any delays or issues must be communicated to tournament officials promptly.

  8. Respect: Players must show respect towards their opponents, teammates, officials, and spectators at all times. Any disrespectful behavior will result in penalties.

  9. Drug and Alcohol Policy: The consumption of drugs or alcohol before or during games is strictly prohibited. Any player found to be under the influence will be disqualified from the tournament.

  10. Code of Conduct: All participants, including players, coaches, and spectators, are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct and integrity throughout the tournament.

These general rules ensure that the ABA Mexico Summer League Tour maintains a professional and respectful environment for all participants and stakeholders.

King of the Court Game Format

Game Format:

•  Players will be divided into different groups every month. Each month, players will compete, and individual players will receive points based on their group's tournament record.

•  Monthly rankings determine the championship bracket for September. At the end of the season, an individual player will be crowned "King of the Court." There are a total of (5) months in the King of the Court Mexico.

•  Only (5) scoring months contribute to the Final Rankings for King of the Court Mexico.

•  Four players will qualify from each tournament, totaling 20 for the Los Cabos finals on September 22nd and 23rd. •  If a player is unable to attend, their spot will be filled based on records and stats.

King of the Court Mexico Rules and Gameplay

General Rules:

All games are 1 v. 1.

Play from the top of the key and check the ball with the defensive player.
Side-to-side court gameplay.
All players receive equal mandated playing time.
Games last (12-15) minutes, depending on the number of players in each group.
Timeouts are permitted while ball is stopped (2 t/o)

 
Gameplay Rules:

Field goals are worth 1(ONE) point, and shots from the 3-point line count for 2 (TWO) points.


Play to 7 points from the same spot.
Best of 3 series.


Loser's ball after each score.


A 10-second shot clock begins once the ball is checked.


Players have 5 fouls, with each resulting in one free throw. The 5th foul leads to a technical foul, resulting in two shots according to KOCMX rules.

No post back down, 4 second rule

No traveling - 3 steps max

Over time - up by 2 wins

one challenge - crowed is the judge.
